To decide whether to keep him or not, LSG would first want to gauge his level of fitness during the 2023 IPL. If they don’t, his IPL career would be over since few clubs will count on a 41-year-old player to fill the position in IPL 2024.
MS Dhoni
IPL 2023 may be MS Dhoni’s final season, he has already informed the crowd. After turning 40, he continued playing in the IPL because he wanted to retire in front of his local audience. The final time their beloved captain plays in front of them may be in front of Chepauk. Fans of Dhoni will undoubtedly experience emotional turmoil during the final home game.
Ambati Rayudu
Next year, Ambati Rayudu will be 38. CSK’s potent middle-order hitter only competes in the IPL. In 13 games last season, Rayudu only managed to score 274 runs, averaging slightly over 24. At 122, he scored runs. If Rayudu’s bat does not speak for itself at the conclusion of the season, he will probably be fired. He could find it difficult to fit into the league at his age because every side is trying to invest in their young players.
David Warner
David Warner places a lot of importance on the IPL 2023. He has recently had trouble finding runs. Due to his ongoing failures, his spot in the World Cup team is also in jeopardy. His body is occasionally breaking as well. You could see him play in the World Cup if he performs well in the IPL.
