Delhi Capitals equipment worth lakhs were stolen in transit

In a startling occurrence, bats worth millions of rupees and other equipment belonging to Delhi Capitals (DC) players went missing from their kit bags before the team’s next Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Sixteen bats, pads, shoes, thigh-pads, and gloves were reportedly taken from the players’ kit bags once they landed in the city on Sunday from Bengaluru following their IPL league encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The players reported the event to the franchise management as soon as they got their individual kits after their return from Bengaluru. The franchise executives then quickly filed an official complaint.
Additionally, it was claimed that players like captain David Warner, all-arounder Mitchell Marsh, wicketkeeper-batter Phil Salt, and Yash Dhull were the owners of the stolen bats.

The players contacted their representatives for the new bats prior to their match against Kolkata Knight Riders on 20 April, although DC was still able to hold a practice session on Tuesday.
